Project methodology

The research is performed on a going basis with annual participation of over 45 000 people. The respondents are recruited by means of telephone inquiries.

The participants fill in the forms of two types:

  • Personal – to fill in by each family member; 
  • Family – to fill in by that family member who is responsible for most purchases in the family.  

Besides adult Russian citizens (age 16+), teenagers aged 12-15 also take part in the research, filling in a separate form, specially developed for that group.

Geographic reach

The questioning is performed in 68 Russian cities and represents adult urban Russian population (cities with population of 100 000 and more). Besides, the data are also provided separately for 16 Russian cities with population of more than 800 000:
